| One of the worlds oldest civilizations is China, dating back as far
as 1500 BC. Turtle shells with Chinese writings have been found that
indicates they stem all the way back from the Shang Dynasty (1600 BC -
1046 BC). First united as an empire by Qin Shi Huang in 221 BC, China resembled
some sort of unity. China as it is known today has been shaped by
centuries of immigration and assimilation of the various Asian
cultures and their political views.
Inhabited over 136 million years ago by the Homo Erectus we know today
that it would have been one of the very first places where fire and
tools were found to be used by these early humans. Probably the most
famous Home Erectus, the Peking Man was found in 1923. The country
is riddled with culture, history and dynasties, times long gone and
yet so full of life.
